This Qatar Pattern Book research project was exe- cuted by a British architect Timothy Makower as the part of Msheireb development projects. This project made me appreciate traditional elements, which can be interpreted in the present and to the future in many ways. Thus, more meaningful designs can be produced. Characteristics of seamless Islamic pat- terns were revived in contemporary context being inspireed by local subject matters.
