In today’s industry, it is important that we learn the ways we communicate clothing on the digital surface. My areas of expertise include, but are not limited to textile design, flat drawings, and utilizing digital software (illustrator, photoshop, etc.) to demonstrate clothing.
Draping is as both an experimental yet meticulous method; as it leaves room for exploration but needs care. It is important to understand the gravity of clothing and implement it in clothing. One of the fundamental ways we understand and utilize this is through draping.
Being involved in every process of making clothes is essential. Pattern making comes in two main options, 2D and 3D. The 3D is more relative to a luxury process and flat patterns are efficient to fast production. I practice both methods, depending on the design details and needs.
My practices started back when I did textile trading. This was an entrepreneurship that dealt with bed sheets and textiles. This strengthened my knowledge in business to a more textile centered experience.
